I always thought I was too “dumb” to understand math. During my school years, it was evident to me that for some kids math was easy, and for others like myself: painfully difficult.我一直以为自己太“笨”，不懂数学。在我上学的时候，我很明显地发现，对于一些孩子来说，数学很容易，而对于像我这样的其他人来说，数学却非常困难。
This belief shadowed me for years, a constant reminder that while believe I am smart… I’m not THAT smart.这种信念多年来一直困扰着我，它不断提醒我，虽然我相信自己很聪明……但我并不那么聪明。
Recently, after 150 days immersed in learning math, I had a stark realization.最近，在沉浸学习数学 150 天之后，我有了一个鲜明的认识。
The struggle wasn’t because I wasn’t capable, but rather, I was simply missing a shit-ton of pre-requisite knowledge.这场斗争并不是因为我没有能力，而是因为我只是缺少大量的先决知识。
It’s like trying to defeat a Elden Ring boss… at level 1.这就像试图在 1 级击败《Elden Ring》的 Boss。
It’s like walking into a movie halfway through—you can’t understand the plot because you missed the beginning.这就像走进一部电影，你无法理解情节，因为你错过了开头。
The same goes for learning complex subjects like math, CS, whatever.学习数学、计算机科学等复杂科目也是如此。
The gap in comprehension wasn’t due to a lack of ability but rather a gap in prerequisite knowledge.领悟上的差距并不是因为能力不足，而是因为先决知识的差距。
So here’s a gentle reminder: You’re not dumb—you just might not have all the prerequisites yet.所以这里温馨提醒一下：你并不傻——你只是可能还没有具备所有先决条件。
Building from the Ground Up从头开始构建
Realizing this, I decided to rebuild my math skills from the ground up. I revisited the basics I had glossed over or misunderstood in the past.意识到这一点，我决定从头开始重建我的数学技能。我重新审视了过去被我掩盖或误解的基础知识。
